100 Mile Meets CROP 50

Maurice Bloem

Maurice Bloem

In our world, at this very moment, there are 821 million people who go to bed hungry every single day. This is an alarming number. To combat this issue, CWS CROP communities have rallied together for the past 50 years to raise funds to end hunger by doing a simple action, walking.

I began my journey in 2012 because I was so inspired by the spirit of volunteerism behind the CROP Hunger Walks and I realized that the urgency of the world’s hunger crisis calls for action on the part of every person.

750 miles later and I’m still choosing to celebrate the volunteers who work hard to do good in our world, with an emphasis on those who share our passion to create a world where there is #Enough4All.

This year is no different and is extra special because I am now walking 150 miles from October 6 - October 13 and the route will be from New York City, NY to York, PA. At the end of walk we are joining forces with our CWS CROP communities for one grand celebration on Sunday, October 13 in York, PA.

My goal is to raise $10,000 which will be used to aid in CWS programs around the world that work daily to overcome the root cause of hunger. We work with communities by giving them tools to feed themselves sustainable and nutritiously.

Thanks for visiting my page and for your support! Together, we can make a difference, one step at a time.
